Ruck Cancer
“Ruck Cancer” is an annual rugby 10’s tournament hosted by the Uticuse Rugby Club. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for local charities and organizations dedicated to helping persons affected by cancer. Over the years, thanks to generous sponsors and passionate participants, Ruck Cancer has raised over $40,000 to support local charities and individuals facing the challenges of cancer.
This year, we are proud to announce that proceeds will benefit Cancer Connects, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adult cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers throughout Central and Northern New York. Their mission of providing free programs, resources, and guidance is vital to helping patients navigate their cancer journeys. Proceeds from the tournament and sponsors will be donated to Cancer Connects.
This year, the 12th Annual Ruck Cancer Benefit Tournament will be held on Saturday June 7th, 2025 at O’Connor Park, 301 Velasko Rd, Syracuse, NY 13219. With your help, we aim to make this year’s tournament our most impactful yet!

Team Registration is Currently OPEN:

Feb 1st – April 1st: Early Bird Registration $300 per team
April 2nd – May 31st: Regular Registration $350 per team
June 1st – June 7th: Late Registration $400 per team

This year the tournament is capped at 6 womxn’s+ teams and 6 men’s teams due to space and time constraints. We are also accepting individual players to come and sub with registered teams: Sign-up is HERE. A donation of $10.00 per individual player is requested.

D&G’s Mac and Cheese will be available at the field throughout the day to purchase food and beverages. There will be a main Hub tent at the pitch centrally located between the two fields where you can find:

There will be tickets for sale at the main hub tent, the tickets can be used for the following raffles and gift baskets. As we get sponsored baskets we will list them here.
Tournament Social:
The Tournament will be followed by a Social hosted by the Uticuse Rugby Club with our sponsor Pies Guys Pub & Grub, 4744 Onondaga Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13219. All teams are invited to join us after the tournament. Food and drinks will be provided. More details to come soon!
