Celebrating the start of Native American Heritage

Celebrating the start of Native American Heritage Month with a group of Uticuse players on tour with @indigenouswarriorsrugby ! We couldn't think of a better way to kickoff this month than to highlight our Indigenous teammates who make an impact on & off the pitch.

As a team based in Central NY; we live, work & play on land that ultimately belongs to the Onondaga Nation. The Onondaga Nation was recently successful in regaining sovereignty of 1000 acres of land from NY State in Tully Valley. We are thrilled to see the land back movement progress and return land to indigenous stewardship.

We hope you will join us in taking time this month to reflect on our connection to the land we live on, learn it's history, and fight for our collective future by honoring & uplifting Indigenous voices in our communities. Check out the last slide for more info on the fundraiser @indigenouswarriorsrugby has going on right now!
